The Timanfaya National Park is the most popular tourist attraction there is in Lanzarote. Located in the south west this fire mountain nearly devistated Lanzarote by killing off everything on the Island. The area in question errupted for a total of 5 years.

When visiting the National Park you should ensure you take suitable foot wear and remember that being on top of a volcano it will be windy and sometimes cold.

Below are some pictures and a video taken from Timanfaya, click the play button to see the video or to view a larger image click on the picture.

It is what makes Lanzarote

The national park is full of volcanos which are what made this wonderful Island, you should visit this attraction and listen to the tour guide as it's a education in itself!

Love it

Worth the trip up to see this fab volcano and the power of it. Food was ok but not my type of food. Views were great and some of the experiments were really cool. Family loved it.

Dont miss it

This is one of the best trips we did while visiting the Island. Its interesting and unique and you should go if you can.
