Playa Grande is located along the main road (strip) that runs through Puerto Del Carmen. The beach is over 1 km in length and is made up of golden sand for most of it. On the beach it’s self you will find many sun-loungers for you to use although you will have to pay around 8 euros for this (this is for the full day).
While on the beach there are some facilities such as toilets and a small shop selling ice creams. You will also find people wondering about the sun loungers offering to sell ice creams.
As Playa Grande is just off the main road it is only a short walk to find all the bars, restaurants and other shops.
They have some water activities on the beach including some Swan pedalows (some with slides on them) and at certian times of the year you will also find an inflatable bouncy obsitical course. Using this will cost and you will be provided with a life jacket.
The beach is patrolled by some lifeguards and there are markers showing where you should be swimming.
Top Tip – The sand can get very hot from March, walking on the beach the sand can hurt feet so be careful if you have younger children.
